• All orders must be made through my website, email, or through messaging my Facebook page. Orders cannot be taken over the phone.

• All small cakes and bakes that are not available in the online shop are payable in full by bank transfer when ordering, unless otherwise stated or agreed by A Cherry On Top. 

Larger cakes require a deposit payment upon ordering, via bank transfer, with the remaining balance payable at least 1 day before delivery. Again, via bank transfer.

Orders are only secured once payment is received. Delay in payment may result in your place being taken by another customer.

• Payments and deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another order in the case of cancellation.

Orders will not be released if full payment has not been received.

• Cakes must be inspected for damage when delivered. I cannot accept responsibility for any damage once the cake is received by the customer.

In the case of weddings and when the customer has agreed to the cake being left without them present, pictures will always be taken of the cake/s setup at the venue.

• Deliveries are on Saturdays only and time slots are subject to availability.

• Would like delivery but won't be in? Please give clear details of a safe place or a neighbour where your order can be left. 

I cannot leave orders unclaimed if not previously instructed to do so. This may result in an extra delivery charge if redelivery is then required.

Once you have advised me to leave your item, I cannot take any responsibility for the loss of damage of your product, including spoiling from heat. Please advise me of a suitably cool and secure location for the item to be placed.

• Once your cake is safely delivered, correct storage is important.

IMPORTANT!....In the case of celebration cakes, dismantle the box before lifting the cake out to serve.

• Fondant covered cakes: should be kept in their box in a cool dry place until served. Not in the fridge unless absolutely necessary (e.g. an extremely hot day).

Once cut, store in an airtight container in a cool place, or in the fridge. 

• Buttercream cakes: should be stored in the fridge until 1 hour before serving. Once cut, store in an airtight container in the fridge. 

• Fondant and buttercream cakes stay delicious for 10days from delivery/collection.

• Cupcakes: store in their box in a cool dry place and consume within 5 days of delivery/collection.

• Biscuits: store in an airtight container and consume within 7 days of delivery/collection

• Whoopie pies: Store in their individual wrappers in an airtight container and consume within 4 days of delivery/collection. 

Weddings

• All wedding orders, including cake bites for weddings, require a 25% deposit payable by bank transfer. Orders are not secure until deposits are received.

• Dates will be provisionally reserved without deposit for 48hrs after quotation. After this time, the date will then be opened up to other customers.

• Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another order in the case of cancellation.

• The remaining balance is payable at least 4 weeks before your wedding day.

• If you are supplying your own cake toppers, these must either be delivered to A Cherry On Top in Binstead at least 2 weeks before the wedding day, or be left at the cake site at the venue or with venue staff. 

• If you wish to have fresh flowers on your cake, these must be sealed and delivered to the venue ready for me to place on the cake. I am unable to order or collect flowers on your behalf.

• Stands for cakes and cake bites are available to be hired. Deposits are required and are refunded after the stand/s is returned without damage. You must inspect the stands upon delivery, or in case of customers not being present, pictures will be taken of the stand set up at the venue.

Any damage to the stand/s will result in part or all of the deposit being retained to cover the repair/replacement costs.

• Portion sizes are based on the standard wedding ‘finger slice’ size of 1 inch x 1 inch. If you wish your guests to have the larger 2inch x 1inch ‘dessert’ portions, please make me aware of this when obtaining your quote. 

• Portion sizes are approximate. Please ensure that your venue/caterer is aware of your chosen portion sizes. 

• You will be asked for a suitable person to contact at your venue, who will be responsible for checking the cake after setup and signing to say it was received in good, undamaged condition. Please discuss this with your chosen contact before giving us their details.

Cancellations

• If the cancellation is more than 4 weeks before the delivery date and the full payment amount has been received, you will be refunded all except the deposit amount.

• Cancellations more than 2 weeks before the delivery date will be refunded 50% of the full payment amount.

• Cancellations less than 2 weeks before the delivery date will result in the full payment amount being retained and no refund given.

• Changes to the design/s may incur additional charges and must be finalised 4 weeks before the delivery date.

• Changes in date will result in cancellation of the order and the deposit retained.

• If A Cherry On Top needs to cancel, for reasons beyond my control, including severe illness and/or illness that would jeopardise food safety, e.g sickness and diarrhoea, then a full refund will be given, including the deposit amount. I cannot accept responsibility for any subsequent losses resulting from the cancellation.

Online Shop Orders:

All edible shop products are freshly made to order. 

Please read each item description within the shop carefully as each product has its own delivery options and preparation time.

Luxury Gifts:

All luxury gift products will be ready to be delivered/posted (if applicable), 4 working days from ordering.  

You will be contacted when your item has been despatched or is out for delivery.

Taster Pots:

IMPORTANT........Taster pots are sent out on the last Wednesday of every month via Royal Mail 2nd Class Signed For. 

Due to the amount of preparation time involved for this product, they are not available any other time. 

Any taster pot orders received after 12noon on the Saturday before, will be posted the following month and not the same week.

Seasonal Offers/Featured Products:

Any products that are featured for a specific seasonal holiday, e.g. Mother's Day, Easter, etc, will be ready for delivery on a specific date and time slot. This will be stated in the item description within the shop.

Some items may be postable....please refer to each item description for postal/collection information.

Classes and Workshops

All classes and workshop fees are payable in full upon booking, unless otherwise stated. Once booked, these fees are non-refundable. 

Tickets may be transferred to another person, as long as any dietary options are unchanged. 

You must inform A Cherry On Top of this change of person ASAP, and before the day of the class or workshop. 

In some cases, dietary alterations may be possible. However, this may incur an additional charge depending on the amount of notice given.

IMPORTANT....Allergy information:

• All my products come with allergy information labels displayed on them. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, and you are unsure about my products, please discuss this with me before placing a deposit. I will do my very best to cater to all dietary needs.

• A Cherry On Top works from a domestic kitchen, and great care is taken with the ingredients used. However, I cannot guarantee that any of my cakes or bakes are completely free of any traces of allergens.

I'm afraid orders cannot be taken over the phone. 

I usually require 2 weeks notice for celebration cakes, although I may be able to accommodate last minute orders, depending on the amount of existing bookings....Please contact me to enquire.

I require at least 1 month notice for wedding cakes.

However, I do recommend you getting booked in as soon as possible for all bespoke orders as dates can fill up months in advance. 

I can only take a certain amount of wedding and/or celebration cake orders for any certain date, so please get booked in early to avoid disappointment.

At least 4 days notice is required for cupcakes, biscuits and whoopie pies.

'Buy now' products in the shop will be ready 4 working days from ordering, unless otherwise specified in the item description. If you need these for a specific date, please get in contact before ordering.

All spaces are subject to availability and no orders are secured for a date until a deposit is received or full payment made in the case of 'buy now' and smaller orders.

There are 2 different flavour combination options to choose from.

These samples boxes are designed for wedding cake tasters but are also great for a yummy treat to share with your family/friends.
